So I found someone willing to put me up in England so I leave tomorrow and come back on Monday. Therefore I have to put this on a mini-hiatus as I don't think I will have a lot of time for the computer when I am there. I will try and get any icons I need to get done by tomorrow.

ok so i am trying to get better at voting and i have a question. what is the word you use for icons that look.....ummm...you know they kinda look like claymation or something. there has been something done to the face where it makes it look like that. does anyone know what i am talking about? i see it often and i don't know what word it is i am looking for.

Weird that this came up as the question! I work at a law firm for the criminal attorneys and we are right across the street from the courthouse. Well anyway, I went over there yesterday to try and get one of the attorney's housekeepers out of jury duty because she has a lot of medical conditions and is fairly up in age. I gave the jury clerk the 'form' I was given to get her out of JD and she said that was fine, and that she didn't have to come because of her age.

Well I mentioned that I had always wanted JD (i know, i know, i am probably the only one) and she said, well let me look you up. So she looks me up and says oh, well you did have jury duty in February and you didn't show. I was like well then, I didn't know as I really never received anything telling me that I was called. We just moved, well last November to our new house and I guess somehow the notice got lost in transition or something.

She was very nice and fixed it for me so I wouldn't come up again for a year (2 women at work about to go out on maternity leave so didn't think it was the best time for JD). I asked her what happens when you just don't go and she told me that when I went to pay my property taxes they would have told me I couldn't because I missed JD and I would have to get it fixed before I could pay. Then, if I didn't get it fixed they would have sent a sheriff with a warrant or something. Just glad I got it fixed.

Oh, and when I moved to where I am now from Boone, NC I got served up there, after being there for 8 years, they serve me when I move and then I miss the opportunity again because of the mail. Maybe I am just not meant for JD.

ok i was wondering because i see it at everyone's graphic journal under their rules for taking their icons. how do you get the part where you say something like:

ok i have to go to bed now. i have a massage scheduled for the morning. before you think i am spoiled, i have a really bad lower back problem. :P

I am not sure how I feel about these icons though. She has a difficult skin tone to work with, well for me anyway. I am only just now starting to not suck a whole lot at icons and I am kinda 'eh' about these. And that damn 'transport' theme got me, the girl is like never in a car, bus or anything. I found one of her walking away from a cab but that wouldn't work. So I finally found one from GG or her and Dan in an elevator but its not like you can really tell they are in an elevator, you really only know if you watch the show. I do like the stock icon but I doubt anyone else will. Ok that is about it.
