spencer and i are quitting smoking, he has gone 8 days and i am on my 5th. it is extremely frustrating and it sucks. sucks in the sense that i really really want a cigarette but won't do it, not in the sense that it will probably keep me alive longer. i have come to realize that it is more of a habit for me than actually nicotine. don't get me wrong, the nicotine withdrawal is not fun and it actually aches in your body and chest that you don't have it but the worst part is that you just reach for them, strictly out of habit and we all know habits are hard to break. if i could just stop associating certain things and times of the day with smoking it would go a lot better because the minute i reach for one, i am reminded that i am quitting which makes that ache more painful. even when i see someone smoke on tv or even hear someone say something about it in a song it brings the pain back. it especially sucks at work because i work at one of those places where we can smoke inside and all you have to do is just get up from your spot and go to the smoking room, which is only like 15 feet away.

however, i will not let this beat me!!

anyway, if you are thinking of starting smoking don't do it, its just a pain in the ass later and it is getting extremely expensive. just make icons instead. : )

Congrats, dude. Soooo many people don't have the willpower to kick that habit (a lot of habits, really), so it speaks volumes for you and Spencer. =D
